Better at Home
Quadra Island Better at Home provides non-medical services to assist seniors with simple day-to-day tasks so they can continue to live independently in their own (or rented) homes and stay connected to their communities. We provide services to all of Quadra Island.
Better at Home is funded by the Province of British Columbia and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland.
Fees for Quadra Island Better at Home services are determined on a sliding scale based on the senior’s household income. Friendly Visiting and Transportation are free services.

Something as simple as housekeeping or rides to medical appointments can make the difference between local seniors living safely in their home or making the heartbreaking choice to leave their friends and the island they love, to move to where they can receive adequate care. Seniors built this community, and we owe it to them to keep them where they are happiest…at home.
